In order to keep the Isola on an outdoor pool in windy conditions despite its huge surface area, steel cables are incorporated in a hollow seam on the long sides of the cover. These are hooked into ground sleeves in the pool perimeter by means of carabiner clips and T-terminals, and fastened with a tensioner. In this way, the Isola is protected against floating or being caught under by the wind.
