On March 6th and 7th we visited the bsw-Infotage in Düsseldorf – an event full of valuable discussions and exciting insights into the industry.

New elections at the annual general meeting
The bsw annual general meeting kicked off with a presentation of the association’s finances and increased marketing activities for the industry.
Another important item on the agenda was the election of the board of directors. In addition to Christian Bauermeister from Hugo Lahme, Alexander Becker from Tintometer, Frank Eisele from WWS Eisele, Christian Piechel from swim & sweat, Frank Thiemig from Kühling & Hauers, Amadeus Veit from Pumpen Veit and Alexander Ziegler from ISO, our managing director Stephan Kortus was re-elected to the bsw executive committee, the extended board. Besides that, Dietmar Rogg handed over his role as bsw president to Jürgen König from Bayrol Germany after 13 years. He will be actively supported by his fellow board members Jürgen Bergmann from Fluidra Germany, Marcell Görke of C.D. Schmidt Aqua-Technik, Bert Granderath from Grando, Armin Herger from SPECK Pumpen, Felix Lietz from Kühling & Hauers and Patrick Pfeifer from SSF Schwimmbad.

Exhibitor and competition highlight
Next to 58 other exhibitors, we were able to hold great discussions with our customers and co-exhibitors over two days. We brought our newly roller protective cover, the iScoot, as well as the Justlock safety device with us.
Our competition provided additional excitement: 71 rubber tensioners with a BAC clip were hidden in a column. They are used, among other things, to secure our roller protection against the wind along its length and to tension our protective net. Edwin Müller from Lamuco GmbH and Andrea de Col from Poolbau-Baden both made an exact guess. In the end, the decision was made by lot: congratulations to Edwin Müller and Lamuco GmbH.

Pools Night & bsw Awards
With 400 submissions from nine nations, the presentation of the bsw Awards was a real highlight of this year’s Pools Night. Awards were given in the categories of hotel bathrooms, private indoor waterparks in the hall, private indoor pools, pools at night, whirlpools, mini pools and before / after projects. An overview of the winning pools can be found here.

Further details about the event can be found in the report by Schwimmbad+Sauna Magazin.
